January 10, 2024 - 14.4% abv. Dark crimson color. Slightly muted nose at 55 deg, but still showing dark fruit, black cherries, graphite, flowers. Med plus weight, luxurious mouthfeel. Tannins have softened somewhat: spice-box, dusty cocoa, cherries, Christmas tree. Showing exceptionally well right now - should hold at this level for 3-5 more years. Bravo

December 10, 2023 - Well once again this blows my mind. Such a great wine. Way to go Chris! Enjoyed with steaks at Council Oak Hardrock Fort Lauderdale.

October 27, 2022 - A solid performance, though this was rightly outshined a bit by a 2006 Abreu Madrona Ranch (comparative side-by-sides can get crunchy, eh?!). Otherwise, this 2012 Tynan Reserve was true to form and a constant reminder of the bummer that this particular wine only made an appearance for one vintage. It doesn't have the precision or intense focus of Tynan's MG, but it is in a nice window right now. Its contours have softened a bit, but it can certainly age for a number of years. Drink now or hold through 2030.
