January 22, 2022 - Barolo 2008 (My place): This was surprisingly tough and firm on day one.The nose more on red fruit than the Brunate, though with all the complexity of a Barolo, but the palate more closed and edgy, with an almost ferrous side to it. Tannins were also quite firm.
This improved significantly on day two, and developed a wonderful floral side to the nose, with notes of violets mixed with red fruit. It opened up and found its balance on the palate too, which became deep and silky on meaty notes (a milder tone of ferrous).

July 30, 2021 - Accomasso Tasting plus some great Barolo Pirates (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): *** all wines tasted blind ***
    Glass: Zwiesel 1872 Moment Pinot
Clean, youthful ruby color. Clean, classic Barolo nose, some animalic notes, fine red fruit, floral, dried petals.
Dry, high acidity and tannin. Very round and elegant. Wonderful pressure and tension. Very long. 94+

November 1, 2019 - Le Langhe 2019; 10/26/2019-11/1/2019 (Le Langhe, Piedmont, Italy): Rich dark fruit, cherry, plum. Acetone and liquorice. Definitely more fruit than floral. Prunes, figs. Sweet concentrated fruit in the mouth. Full bodied. Silky but persistent tannins. Long finish. Super wine, will last much longer yet hopefully to show more tertiary characteristics. A deeply rich and fruity Barolo although atypical, only criticism being not quite fresh enough for my taste.
