  August 8, 2023 - Dense, opaque, with purplish ruby edges. Smells like black and blue fruits, graphite, walnuts, and dark chocolate. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of cassis, graphite minerality, black olive, lemon, and a little floral lift. Pretty good. Had with a homemade beef ramen and it worked well. Doesn't seem to have a lot of stuffing, but still interested to see it with a little more age.

  June 19, 2023 - PnP. Deep, dark black plum nose with violets. Attack delivers a massive wall of black fruit with a dense texture and medium minus acidity, but the palate failed to develop complexity. It rolls into fat tannins, iodine, and black olive that fades away over 20 seconds.

  February 2, 2023 - We liked it a lot but it was not as big as the '13 and not as smooth as the '12. Great fun to drink three vintages in a row :)

  November 22, 2022 - PnP. Nose with lots of smoked meat, raw meat, purple fruit, and violet floral aromas. Focused, supple palate delivers black raspberry and smoked meat in a concentrated, short-lived beam. Chalky tannins take over adding tacky blackberry, earth, and mineral notes over a brooding, peppery acidity. Interesting wine.

  October 8, 2022 - Dark black fruit and plenty of black pepper. Smooth tannins. viognier adds some nice aromatics. Quite fresh on the palette.
