February 25, 2024 - Amazing wine. Some red fruit and hints of black fruit left. Tannins are integrated perfectly. Probably at its peak, but will still hold up for a few years. Earthy qualities are starting to shine through with no oaky notes.

December 5, 2023 - Slo-oxed for 10 minutes but continued to open - 30-minute slo-ox might be better. In the glass it was a medium to deep violet to a lighter rim. Aromas of dark red fruits and some earth. The medium bodied palate yielded a basket of dark red fruits (esp. black cherry), spice and some earth, all wrapped in juicy acidity. Holding up well and will continue for some time.

October 27, 2021 - I don't know what I drank in July 2020 when I gave this wine an 86 and said I didn't like it. It must have been a bad bottle. I had a bottle in June 2021 that was amazing. I held off rating it at that point as I was simply confused. I have now opened a 3rd bottle and it is fabulous. I'm on day 2 now of this 3rd bottle and it is showing even better today than it did yesterday. The fruit is so sweet and delicious, but not seeming to be overripe. Nice concentration. A very long finish. It needs air at this point. There are lots of tannins still there and it has nice acidity. This presents like a very young wine and has tons of time left, but it's in a great spot now. Delicious!
