A bushel-full of golden delicious apple, Asian pear, lemon oil, lychee fruit, vanilla, and coconut tumble from the glass. And yet .... as exuberant as the wine is, it doesn’t demand attention and does not diminish the dish. Not in any way flabby; New World pride without the drama. 14.3% alc. With pork chops under an apple cider-dijon sauce. Highly Recommended.

  December 24, 2018 - As before, this satisfying pour puts on a show with Asian pear, golden delicious apple, lemon oil, lychee fruit, vanilla, and coconut. Intense fruit framed by deft acidity that pulls the mouthfeel back from the edge of too much. No flabbiness at all. Hands down, the much preferred wine over the Durrell. 14.3% alc. With steamed shrimp, sweet potato pudding, peanut soup in the company of BB & PH who joined us (all 3 of us with PM home from Iowa and transitioning to DC) for Christmas Eve. Highly Recommended.

A bigly wine with intensity of fruit and roundness of mouthfeel. 14.3% alc. With epoisses cheese, salmon spread and crusty bread. Highly Recommended.

  December 1, 2017 - Opened the same night as the ‘13 Parmelee Hill, successively. And like the ‘13, this is my first bottle of this wine. Again, no real notes, just impressions of Asian pear and golden delicious apple. The wine is much like the ‘13, but not quite as intense. The 2013 is highly intense while the 2014 is “merely” big. 14.3% alc. With cheeses of St. Andre, manchago and crusty bread. Highly Recommended.

  January 20, 2017 - This is a big, oakey, butter bomb. If you like this style like I do, it's epic. If not, stick to those those boring naked chards that taste like green apples and citrus. You know, basically like every other white varietal on the planet. To me, this is how to make Chardonnay.
