February 2, 2024 - TRB for the win! Beautiful wine at the 10-year mark...a concentrated yet silky effort. Black cherry, blackberry, and dark plum fruit. Notes of dark chocolate, leather, graphite, cedar, and toasty oak. Nice firm tannins and acidity, with a great long finish. No rush at all...this is built for the long run.

April 17, 2023 - This was opened but not decanted about two hours before dinner. I've seen several notes about VA here, but neither I nor my wife got that at all. It started a discussion about whether some people are more susceptible to VA than others. This bottle, at least for us last night, was in beautiful balance with dark fruits, integrated tannins and a medium long finish. I have four bottles left and hope they all taste as good or better than this one.
