March 15, 2024 - Consistent with notes from others immediately prior, and from self around 5 years ago. Exceeding my expectations for drink window; I have one more and will hold for at least 5 more years, but I enjoy fully resolved and mature wines. This has plenty of garrigue on the nose, and although medium-light body and freshly acidic it still has tannic grip and fleshy red and black fruit. Charming. Only austere in comparison to other vintages of the same wine (and even then only barely), so I hereby call it downright approachable. Tasted in parallel with 2014 Gigondas from the Bruniers (Racines), which as expected shows more licorice, black fruit, tannins, and heft overall. But very consistent with each other. Do not give short shrift to 2014!

January 16, 2024 - Did not make a detailed note, but my previous not from 2023 captures it well. Lovely.

November 9, 2023 - Opened and paired with a cheeseburger, fries, and Brussel sprouts. Did not need to decant. Light crimson red color with an orange hue. The nose brings black licorice, red raspberries, and garrigue. The palate is medium-light, textured, and rich, bringing a nice core of red and black fruit followed by orange peel, pipe tobacco, and white pepper into a moderately tannic finish. Drink 2024-2029. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

October 31, 2023 - The previous note of MWC33 is spot on. Very good wine, but untypical for a CdP - more Burgundy style: fresh, elegant and a bit on the dry side. No keeping needed, drink up.

August 9, 2023 - As others have noted, this is shockingly lighter-bodied for a VT / CdP, but no less elegant for that. The “Burgundian w/ Rhône influences?” comment was particularly apt.

Decanted about 90 mins and served with grilled ribeye (which sorta overpowered it, bad choice on my part). Medium garnet in the glass, red fruit, hoisin and fig, and cedar on the nose. Silky tannins and good acidity hide the alcohol, and leave a balanced and elegant wine. I have one additional bottle and made a note to drink by next year; I wouldn’t recommend holding much longer than that.
