July 29, 2022 - Drank alongside the 2016 Casanova di Neri normale, which I scored the same. This is leaner, more traditional, not as aggressively oaked, more astringent and austere, with spicy oak and herbal edges to the nose. The fruit prolfile is red plum as opposed to the purple plum of the Casanova di Neri. Not young but probably needs another 2-3 years to hit its stride.
