October 23, 2016 - Color: light/medium-deep ruby core -> medium ruby/garnet rim. At 60+ minutes after decanting showing lovely aromatics of cassis, red currants, leather, tobacco and some barnyard. Palate medium-bodied; cassis and garrigue along with some asphalt and black fruit. Tannins still a bit prominent vs. the level of fruit here so this probably needs to be enjoyed sooner vs. later. Very nice left bank wine . . . would have scored higher if not for the finish getting a bit coarse
