    December 29, 2023 - 13.5% ABV. Pale ruby appearance.

Redcurrant, red cherry, raspberry, violets, nutmeg, cinnamon, sandalwood, truffle and damp forest underbrush. Sexy, ethereal mouthfeel. Wonderfully vibrant acidity. Rounded and well-integrated tannins. Nice length and drive on the finish. All this to say - we have tension here folks.

This unquestionably displays the Dujac whole cluster charm of intoxicating baking spice aromas and high-definition fruit. Just starting to enter its prime drinking window and should develop further nuance with more time. Simply put, a fantastic effort from a fantastic producer. Tough not to drink the entire bottle in one sitting.

November 30, 2023 - Decanted for an hour and half prior to imbibing, we were greeted by a soft nose that boasted hints of truffle, white pepper, blackcurrant and jam. Seemingly a contrast to the palate, we were immediately greeted by great acidity upon first sip as an upfront of red cherries and raspberries displayed a quintessential Morey-Saint-Denis profile. The mid-palate shifted to tertiary components of cedar wood and earth creating a savoury mouthfeel. The ending brought upon a bitterness alongside cassis. Thoroughly enjoyable bottle that's on the verge of hitting its drinking window and should only improve.

February 19, 2023 - I didn't get as much aromatics as I would have liked. Crunchy cranberry, a hint of strawberry and forest floor. Acid in perfect balance with the finish not as long as I hoped. Drinking well right now and could age a bit more in hopes the fruit comes more to the forefront. Not a wow bottle just as solid as can be.

July 9, 2021 - Drunk over three evenings during which it did not change. Deep dark ruby. A bright, ripe Morey nose of largely black cherry and blackberry fruit, peaty soil, damp underbrush and spices. On palate a lovely, satiny texture of rich, fully ripe fruit but with savoury, earthy and mineral undertones. Precise, focused 2014 acidity. Silky tannins. Good length. A little secondary development. Presently at a nice - optimal seeming - point of its evolution. Worth the high score in my opinion.

February 10, 2021 - Had over two days - I use a silicone based closure to keep wines over a few days and find these work well. It started out quite floral - I wonder if whole cluster because felt some stems aromas as well. The palate was classic 2014 with smooth red fruit, nice acidity and reasonable depth. Also a bit polished as we see with the post 05 Dujac’s.
