December 7, 2022 - Salon Focofi Paris walkabout and dinner, so no detailed tasting notes. From DMG. Deep and rich, noses of dark fruit, gingerbreat and spice box. Mature and awesome to drink now.

April 17, 2022 - Not going to rate. Seems my palate preference has shifted to other varietals. And wines that bespeak of their terroir.

April 9, 2022 - One of the wines of the night and as good an aged Napa wine as I've had from the dark ages of Napa Valley (1997-2015+). Quite fresh with good acidity and superb intensity with great flavors of black raspberries and smoky minerals. Still a bit crunchy in texture with a powerful yet refined and complex finish showing further notes of dark spices and sweet Napa earth. At Napa In The City. 96+

May 19, 2020 - Lovely nose of cedar wood and aged cassis. Showing a nice amount of maturity on the palate with flavors of blackberry liquor, red licorice and sweet Napa earth. The texture is crunchy with a fine mineral-driven finish and complex notes of tobacco and cedar-spice. Well-done in that it's not jammy but to me less exciting than most second-growth Bordeaux at this age for half the price.

January 27, 2016 - Opened four hours before dinner. Rich intense red color but not too much on the nose. Silky textures and an bold but balanced fruit prevailed. Very harmonious and without flaws.
