February 23, 2022 - Bright red fruit, like raspberry and cranberry on opening. Good tannic structure with balanced acidity made for a great mouthfeel. Bright red fruit on the palate initially which changed to a blackberry after about an hour. This wine was very enjoyable with steak served with gorgonzola garlic compound butter. Drinking very well and will wait a bit longer to hopefully enjoy our last bottle.

August 22, 2018 - We opened and let sit while we drank some chardonnay. Dark berries on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark plums, tobacco and some spice. The finish was moderate to long and brought a flavor reminiscent of lilacs. Enjoyable wine.

September 11, 2017 - Opened to share for lunch w friends, took it home and had for dinner--the time in between made the wine improved the experience. My advice, if you can't age it, then heavily decant it.

August 12, 2017 - Beautiful dark wine, heavy in the glass....nice black/blue fruit on the nose, beautiful mouth weight and feel with more black fruit on the mid palate along with great cedar/woodsy flavor and medium tannins. Long, fulfilling finish with more great fruit and very tolerable astringency with a very mild tart cherry component on the end. This certainly has good time left to enjoy but is drinking very well right now.
