May 16, 2017 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Bright, clear, salmon in color, with a persistent perlage. The nose is clean, fresh, with moderately intense aromas of red apples, strawberries, roses. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, with a chalky minerality and a really nice, slight bitterness on the finish. Medium (+) acidity and medium (-) alcohol (12%). Overall, this is very smooth, silky and flavorful. 100% Pinot Nor, with 24 months of lees aging. A really super value for a vintage brut rose' of this quality.
