January 15, 2024 - I have some concerns about the intrinsic value of this wine just like Willi V. I own more of them. Very tight and austere. With air it slowly opened but never shined brightly. Not sure if this will ever be great.

February 26, 2023 - Yes, nice, and probably need s time. Though, not entirely convinced of its intrinsic value. It did not seem an off bottle, no obvious defaults, but also not hinting at that much future pleasure that i can join the chorus of commentators here. Quite tough, pretty hard tannins, nice acidity, nice minerality, but also some burnt character, over-intense greenness.

Not convinced now, let’s see in the future.

February 22, 2023 - Needs a mountain of time, even open 30 hours wasn't enough to push through reduction and dumbness -- and back towards the beauty and specificity it was displaying in 2017. Try 2028 onward for decades?

October 25, 2022 - Friends of Musique et Vin Gala (French Club, San Francisco): Lean, high acidity, herbal, and black fruited. More astringent and much less approachable than the wonderful 2012 poured earlier. Needs time.

September 21, 2022 - Gorgeous nose. Fresh starberry with a wild edge, rose, dried flowers, mushroom showing some development.
Powerful palate, tannin M(+). High concrentation with lovely earthy/irony-like drive. Tight tannin showing its youth.
