October 17, 2021 - 3rd time trying over the last 8 years. Still very close to my last tasting in mid 2019, not very expressive yet, just needs more time still.

May 18, 2021 - 4 hour decant, Beautiful big fruit forward, smoky nose, tons of smokiness in the wine with great fruit and long finish. Still very young.

May 14, 2021 - Ready for drinking but still very young. Almost floral perfume on the nose when opening. But never smell that again during the drinking even keep it for nearly a week. It takes the wine more than one decade to show the flavor for just seconds but I think if keep it in the cellar for one more decade, it will show that all the way.
The wine in the glass shows riped fruit, mineral as shaved pencil, silky tannin and pleasant acidity as everything you want for a beautiful wine. You don't need to pay more attention to notice them. Everything is in the right place where you need it. I think this is so called precise. Besides it shows high density and depth much more than I can imaging for a wine. It's just like a black hole whicn attracts you to dig out everything but you can never finish this work. I keep the wine for about one week and enjoy some every two days. It's keeping converting and showing layerd facts but keeping as a young lady during the whole life as well. Never be tired or exhausted. Yes, before my drinking I always take a Leoville as a muscled man but infact this 2005 vintage shows us a flexible and long lived gorgeous and elegant lady. What a harmony and unforgettable!
In one word, a great wine!

(LEOVILLE LAS CASES) Spatlese/L'Ermita/Leoville Las Cases Dear Friends, Parcels continue to arrive in the warehouse (this is the season for deliveries to us as well as to you) so here you go - fresh off the boat. All have just arrived with impeccable provenance (this is not a pre-arrival): 2007 Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spètlese EXTREMELY LIMITED Delightful, pungent and full flavored for a 2007 - a wine with a long life ahead of it - should age very well, up to 15-20 years. An outright bargain for 2007 Spatlese. 2005 Leoville Las Cases 1.5lt(WS100) This set of magnums is directly from Bordeaux - it is as close to cellar-direct as I can muster. 2005 Soufrandiere Pouilly-Vinzelles "Les Quarts" (BH90-92 - Outstanding!) - as good as it gets in the Macon? 2002 Palacios L'Ermita (Priorat) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA spain9876 burg3498 bord4599 germ4788

(Leoville Las Cases) Piano Dear Friends, Two interesting magnums (that did not wine Wine of the Year) to round out the week - both of these are directly from the source with perfect provenance. The Valdicava is exceedingly rare in this format and the Las Cases should continue to increase in value for decades... Have a good weekend everyone - Both are EXTREMELY LIMITED at this price: 2001 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Riserva "Madonna del Piano" 1.5lt 2005 Leoville Las Cases 1.5lt (St. Julien) Both arrive at some point in late 2008/early 2009 (they are on the water now) - they will be available for local pick up soon thereafter and ship during the first available shipping window (weather permitting). Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy8801 Bord9131
