March 14, 2019 - "French like" with slight mineral aroma and taste. Light Body. Medium Tannin. Black raspberry? Jen says, "Cherry notes. Plum. And there's like a spiciness too." I think it looks a little thin, but finishes nice.

May 21, 2017 - Solid entry-level OR Pinot. More earthy old-world effort with good balance. Tannins still prominent. Will benefit with a couple years more bottle age.

April 22, 2017 - Reading prior notes I think this one just needed a little more bottle time. From the first sip I got a "wow" powerful fruit feel. Here is my note:
Appearance - medium ruby, slightly hazy. Clear transparent rim.
Nose - ripe strawberry preserves. Medium plus intensity, some perfume. Alcohol burn on eyes. Listed as 13.9% but feels higher. Get wet forest floor. You can pick up soil, pine needles, leaves, wet rocks, definitely young and crisp. Not much development at this stage if any.
Palate - my first sip out of bottle was "wow" and it has continued to open. Similar to nose but a bit of the cherry on palate. A little menthol on palate. A saltiness. Flavor intensity is medium plus for me and it lingers. Definitely feel alcohol. I say this has some aging potential except tannins are probably on the lighter side so that might make it turn flat too soon. Body is medium. Taste pepper on finish. Good acidity. Medium/medium plus.
I think ths is a very flavorful juicy wine. It awakens your senses with each taste. Makes your palate alive. Lots of fruit, good acidity, good mouthfeel, silky, that being said, the tannins seem a bit light if the intention is to age. From reading earlier reviews it seems the wine has opened up a lot in the last 6 months. It's not a delicate wine. It's powerful. Not a delicate Pinot. I'm paying NYC premium and think it's a decent value for price. -

March 7, 2017 - This is a beautiful expression of pinot noir from one of the best regions In Oregon. It had a beautiful medium ruby core, and light on the edges. The nose is ripe with blackberry, cherry, black currants, and black pepper. At first your get wet rocks, and an almost forest door type flavor, like wet leaves and dirt and detritus. This really sends me into the PNW rain forests. The finish has nice lovely red fruits, strawberries and rainier cherries. Medium dry, and the volume is medium loud. One my go to staples when pairing with coho salmon, which is what I did when I opened this bottle; blackened cajun salmon with a potato hash and sugar snap peas.
