February 14, 2024 - Perfekt nose, but taste is a bit to massive and very concentrated. Otherwise a wine in full balance, long and complex.

January 10, 2024 - As noted last year, this has lost its early flush of fruity youthfulness, and has entered into a new phase of life. It was exceptional in its youth, and is potentially a 98/99 point wine. It is a glorious wine with a fabulous future, but it now needs a couple of years to allow the secondary notes to bed down and for the tannin to integrate.

December 25, 2023 - Very nice right bank wine. Opened four hours ahead of time and decanted for about two hours. Moderate complexity. Started off showing some ripe fruit and then developed some secondary notes of cocoa and oak. Tannins seem pretty resolved, but seems likely to last another 5-10 years.

December 17, 2023 - 2 hour double decant and this showed lovely aromas of blackberry, blueberry, earth and pencil shavings that lead to a plush, round, refreshing similarly flavored palate with a long, mineral streak running through the finish.

December 1, 2023 - What an absolute treat. Whilst celebrating an early Xmas dinner this was brought by one of the guests who brought half a bottle left from lunch. This was opened early that morning before a round of golf and left to slow-ox. The story is that his lunch partner was of older age and the both of them couldn't finish it. It was too good to pour down the drain and he thought he'd bring it to dinner! What a fabulous wine and a real treat and pleasant surprise. This was still singing beautifully despite being opened much earlier in the day. Silky silky mouthfeel. Black fruit, smoke, leather, and earth. Just an excellent wine. Too bad there was only enough for one glass!
