January 15, 2023 - On its downside. Smooth however with limited fruit. Nothing like a "Hirsch" at its prime.
The wine looks light red colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells & tastes like strawberry w a light body. It has a silky texture yet finishes short and has medium acidity.

February 12, 2018 - Dark red in color. 14.1% ABV. Ripe nose of red fruits, roses and baking spices. Medium body with ample acidity. Big and powerful with a sense of elegance. Bing cherries, mushrooms, cola and spearmint on the palate. The finish is very long. Solid Pinot Noir but the ripe characteristic that I think defines the '04 vintage is slightly off putting. Drink over the next year or so.

May 7, 2016 - Brought to dinner with friends at country-French restaurant. Everyone loved this wine. I wish I had more.

December 5, 2015 - Holding up great - These wines age. 100% new world, great purity of fruit, but certainly lacking the complexity, minerality and "super interesting" factor that top 1er cru or grand cru Burgundy has. For $50 though this holds its own as top-tier pinot noir anywhere in the world.

November 13, 2015 - Still going strong, after 2 days it had plenty of fruit left.
