September 17, 2017 - This had been pumped and put back in the fridge for a couple of days when I got around to trying it. Not usually a big fan of Sauv Blanc - but it was open and I just wanted a glass with dinner on Sunday night. Surprisingly I found this very enjoyable. Clearly not a new world SB - much leaner and more acid driven, worked well with the homemade quesadillas. I would describe this as lean and clean with a hit of minerals and grapefruit profile on the fruit.

March 15, 2017 - Lots of mineral notes on this one. Stone, grass, gooseberry, with a zesty acidity. Represents the appellation well for this price. Needs food.

January 23, 2017 - Good solid food Sancerre. Grassy and citrus and good acid. Not a huge amount of zip

November 20, 2016 - A basic Sancerre. Easy drinker for the price. Has those classic grassy notes.

July 21, 2016 - Pale to medium lemon color. Quite refined on the nose with little of the more savage, green side of sauvignon. Kiwi and melon fruit aromas predominate, but there's something else that I can't quite nail down. I wouldn't call it earthy or mineral or herbal, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Somewhere between floral and leesy. Strange, I know. Much more intense on the palate, with laser-beam acidity and focused lemon-lime citrus fruit. So different from the nose. In the finish, it broadens just a bit to deliver some of the more tropical fruit flavors from the nose as well as a final dusting of savory mineral character.

An interesting one. Surprising in some ways but also delivers the intense, refreshing experience expected from Sancerre. I enjoyed it. Certainly very good value considering the price of most wines from the appellation these days.
