December 4, 2016 - Always on the look-out for an "any day," cheap splash... this hits the mark. P&P - light/medium bodied, nice garnet color, with pleasant toasty nose, & round mouthfeel. Slow-ox testing ensued... Recorked and re-tasted days 2 & 3. Hit its stride on 2nd day. Peaked on day 3... opened up further with nice touches of spiced blueberry pie & plush dark fruits. Buy this without reservation... just give it some air right now and enjoy!

November 24, 2015 - It's more complex than most inexpensive Merlots and totally worth having if you prefer more "earth tones" in your wine. Not as fruity as, say, black mountain Merlot, which has a similar price point. Low tannins and moderate acid.
