February 16, 2021 - At the 1-1/2 hr decant mark, I get notes of sauvage (from the CF) and wood. Last bottle consumed over two years ago took two days to come around, so I'm hoping another hour or two might be enough tonight. Also, getting some Brett-like flavors on the finish right now, which I hope might be more the wood and sauvage influences as it breathes. At dinner, about the 3-hr mark, it had come around and went well with food. Of course, many wine-food combinations can hide flaws. Still have 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottle for another night, so I'll assess again then.

March 18, 2020 - Mouth-filling not thin. Alluring, old fashioned. Savoury and sweet at the same time. Hint of dark chocolate.Good finish. Far removed from modern, jammy wines. Bravo! £25.00 Wine Society (purchased Dec 2012)

December 8, 2018 - Decanted for three hours and took to a dinner party where it sat in an open bottle for several hours. While pleasant enough to drink alongside other Bordeaux that night, it was much better the following night. Much more integrated fruit, smoke, and other flavor components. 89-90 night one, and 91-92 night two. I think that I'll wait another 3-4 years for the next bottle.

February 14, 2017 - Svake, nesten stumme toner av mørk og rødlig frukt - retning solbær og jorbær. Noe hul og endimensjonal munnfølelse. Medium lang finish. Lite frukt. Drikk opp. Vokser noe mer i munn etter litt tid i glasset.

July 11, 2016 - I opened this wine and tasted it right away. It was flat. The fruit seemed to be minimal and overall the wine was a bit lifeless. I decanted then recanted and left it a day. Tonight it was a different wine. This mature lady just needed a little breathing room to wake up. The result was a very soft and delicate Pomerol with elegant and subtle layers of flavor including dark berry, leather, and tobacco. But it was the velvety softness that was so lovely. This along with the long finish made it the kind of wine that just goes down so smoothly its like breathing.
Wonderful, and wish I had more.
