July 7, 2017 - Incredible pedigree, but the experience did not match. Lack of any significant floral aroma with an almost sweet taste that absolutely improved with decant. A bit thin perhaps, and not the classic bold robust CAB one might expect that's been waiting almost 25 years for its debut! I'm not complaining, just not superb.

May 31, 2015 - Bummer - this bottle tasted tired and worn out. Hints if a lovely past, but little stuffing remains. The '97 we had along side was much better

February 10, 2013 - Lovely old cabernet. Silky with tannins and acids integrated. Got better over the course of an hour with air, Started a bit thin and weak tasting but deepened nicely. Moderate red color. Some leather and mushroom notes. Feminine at this stage.

January 19, 2013 - Unfortunately, the bottle was oxidized. However, I can taste where it had potential. Bold, balanced and fruity.

March 18, 2011 - Popped & poured at dinner with friends. Dusty crimson color opening with aromas of fig paste, macerated red currants, worn leather and a bit of an earthy quality- Rich said "mushroomy." Medium-bodied, with fully resolved tannins and red fruit flavors dominating the palate. Short to medium finish, tailing off just a bit too soon. 88-89 pts.
