October 24, 2016 - Still holding up well and made for a fun comparison against a Saint Joe.

April 12, 2016 - I had an opportunity to taste this fantastic Syrah at a tasting event for Pinot Noirs. This is a very nice example of a cool weather Syrah made from grapes grown in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA near Buellton, CA. This wine is not a fruit bomb but there is strong fruit up front that quickly mellows to a long long finish. I left the Pinot tasting with bottles of this Syrah and no Pinots. That says a lot about this wine.

Smoke and dark / black fruit on nose
On palate this is weighted more to fruit than to tar and pepper, so tannins are fairly soft

November 29, 2015 - Just picked up a few bottles, had to pop one. It was very good out of the barrel early this year and this is solid syrah! Blackberry blueberry spicy, white pepper and primary. Strong tannin, I will give it another year or two before popping another. Very good with lots of room to grow imho. Great job Mark!
