September 17, 2016 - I hate that this is my last bottle of this incredible wine. Absolutely stunning. great nose of sweet leather and dark plums, beautiful texture and mouth feel, old world profile in every way. Perfect balance of dark yet still sweet fruit, a hint of perhaps casis and lovely acidity and mellow but present tannins. Lasting finish. Stunning for the price.

March 12, 2016 - Twenty years in, this is very youthful and still robust. Other than heavy sediment no other signs of age. Very new worldish, but with lots of graphite earthy notes on the finish. My guests liked it better than I did but even so I liked it quite a lot especially alongside the beef stew.
