April 14, 2024 - Really nice, rich cab.

January 16, 2020 - Wow, wish I had more, full cherry in the nose, dark garnet in the glass, soft, round mouthfeel, fresh fruit forward, without any indication of over ripeness. I'm horrible at defining what I'm tasting, but suffice to say, this is a non tannic, structured, full fruit, w/o any cloying sweetness, extremely smooth right out of the bottle. Be interesting to drink the remainder to see if it improves from here in a few days, if there's any left. Really surprised me, thought this would be much more old world, dryer, more tannic. For $89, this will be my go to cab, going to see if I can source more at that price

January 24, 2019 - This is a very nice bottle and in a lovely place. Still bright and the tannins are smooth but present. I have several more bottles in the cellar and it will be hard to justify not drinking them soon.

September 28, 2016 - The 2013 Peirson Meyer Cab was decanted 3 hours prior to tasting and was part of a double blinded taste off between 6 other 2013 Napa Cabs that scored 95 points + from professional reviewers. Visually, the wine color was a garnet-violet with medium viscosity. The nose was rich with cola, cherry, vanilla and a hint of an asphalt road after a rain. The taste was beautiful. A medium mouth weight that was velvety. The tannins were medium and allowed for a taste of lavender, vanilla, wet stone, dark cherry and other dark fruits. The wine had expression and layers that were very much appreciated. A very strong showing compared to the 6 other 2013 cabs. This should age wonderfully. An excellent choice for a 2013 cab. Score 94

September 24, 2016 - 2013 Napa Cabernet Double Blind Tasting at Shane's (Nw Jersey): Decanted around 2pm, put back in the covered bottle around 5pm then drunk from 6-9pm...served double blind to all but our host for whom they were only single blind. My second favorite wine tonight. 100% cabernet sauvignon. Translucent crimson purple color. Black cherry, Black plum, vanilla and graphite on the nose. Fine grain tannins and very layered, complex flavors of licorice, blackberry, earthy mushroom and grilled meat (could have been the meat on the grill near us). Elegant but needs some air to soften up, then is supple and rich. Great with the duck dish! My first time having this wine, but probably not the last.
