August 28, 2006 - Ruby/orange core, with a brick rim. Plummy nose from the merlot, smokey oak and a hint of bitter chocolate and pencil shavings. Light, thin, not particularly ripe but fairly smooth. Warm alcohol on the finish, but quite stalky.
