July 16, 2019 - My last bottle of this: very consistent with previous bottles; a slight bit of spearmint accompanying the honeysuckle being the only thing new. Excellent extract, intensity and viscosity. Solid but still classy and balanced.

July 15, 2019 - Lots of plush, creamy flavors of buttercream, lemon custard, ripe apple over nugeat, honey and white floral scents with time. Good texture to the full-bodied flavors with lots of intensity and style. Would have guessed much younger based on the profile. This shows more detail and clarity with time in the bottle.

November 26, 2018 - Best white Burg I've had in my very brief explorations. Tasting notes below are correct. When it was still at refrigerator temperature, the midpalate was a little too open but as it warmed up, the finish lengthened and gained in complexity. I bought this to know what aged white Burg without pre-mox might taste like and it was sheer delight to find out.

August 14, 2018 - Having been blown away by the Batard (WOTN for a fussy group!!!) a few weeks ago, was anxious to try this sister wine as I noted JJB still had a handful of these. Extremely fresh still, complex with lemon curd, golden apple, baking spices and some aged notes (nutty, leesy), honey; rounded palate with extract and weight, viscosity. Oak is well integrated, creamy rich palate but not heavy. Holding up remarkably well hours later! 93/94. I will need to tamp down my criticism of this producer! (Anyone know whether they pasteurize the whites too???)

June 22, 2018 - Quite a surprise at the quality coming from a negociant and at a faction of the usual price from producers.
Not flabby at all, displaying a good complexity of caramel, buttery toast, wet slate, almonds and hazelnut. The fruit, minerality and acidity are very well integrated at this point. Good intensity and length at grand cru level.
This is at a good drinking point.
