June 29, 2020 - In side by side tastings of this modest Cabernet Frank against more famous and expensive Cabernet Franc, this wine has been strongly preferred. At 6 years old, there are zero signs of deterioration. Opaque purple in color. Impressively aromatic with black current and black berry. Very refreshing acidity. Strong undertow of rounded tannin. The mouth entry is refreshing, rich, and rounded. Long aftertaste. All this for a modest price.in the mid 20s.

March 29, 2020 - getting to the end of it's life. A bit sharp, and did not recover after being open for several hours. Good flavors, but tending toward being old.

September 28, 2019 - The velveteen character of too much new oak remains a problem for this vintage, but the wine's at peak and drinking as well now as it's going to.

June 23, 2019 - very good. Time drink. nice flavors and nose of dark fruits, and a bit of spice.

November 22, 2018 - Pulled this wine to taste side by side with Cabernet Francs made by Catena in Mendoza Argentina and Russiz Superiore Collio in Italy. The Andrew Will cost $25 and the other two around $19. Most all of the 14 people tasting them distinctively preferred the Andrew Will, myself included. Darker, denser, better structured by acidity and tannin, richer, and more delicious. Unexpectedly, the Will was also competitive for wine of the night against a dozen other wines, that included one with a 95 point score, others costing the $40 range, a good Bordeaux, and 2 Cabernet Sauvignons. Overall, a tribute to how great a winemaker Andrew Will is with Cabernet Franc, especially considering that the grapes come from the generic Columbia Valley rather than more famous vineyards in more prestigious appellations.
