August 23, 2021 - Chahelem Mountain Pinot Noir. Aromas are dominated by alcohol (14.1%). Some hints of cola, mushroom and earth but little fruit on the nose. Subtle cranberry and dark cherry flavors with lots of cola and baking spices also on the pallet. Tannins are soft and the finish is a bit hefty and tight. The alcohol simply takes over in this wine.

December 30, 2020 - Purchased direct from winery. Caveat...I am a big fan of ale Cadeau. PNP. This reminded me of a ripe CA Pinot tending to the dark fruit profile with higher alcohol. Still good balance though, just heavier...reminds me of some Aubert Pinots from warm vintages. Vanilla, oak, smoke & spice with a touch of red raspberry, almost sweet candy like on the nose. Suspect this gets better in 3-5 years.

March 17, 2020 - No formal note, a well made, complex pinot with both fruity and savory elements going on at the same time.

January 22, 2020 - Earth, oak, barnyard, mushrooms and bright berries make a wonderful wine. Five years and aging beautifully. Tannins to last awhile yet.

November 4, 2017 - Compared to the 2012 and 2015, this was our favorite. Great with pork. Very slight tannin feel. Very smooth, bursting with fruit. Great nose. Very drinkable now, but will only improve with age.
