August 6, 2020 - The story and producer behind this wine put it on a different stage especially when you have visited the the abbey of Saint-Vivant de Vergy. See Winhog.org for more details. I’ve tasted this wine about five years ago and found it not really exciting. It was a bit of a disappointing experience. Lacked fruit and aromas although balance and acidity were good. Drinking the same wine now, I realise the wine was closed down. This bottle appears to be in excellent shape. Full-bodied, good structure and balance, flavours of stonefruit, some citrus giving soft acidity, long finish and an unfamiliar twist on this Burgundian Chardonnay which I cannot put my finger on. A really enjoyable wine.

June 4, 2018 - Certainly held its own in a classy field. There were stone fruit aromas and flavours along with some spice and a nettle character. It had a fruit-sweet heart and fresh, tangy citrus closure.

April 5, 2018 - The first impression is ripe, white peach. As it breathes you get some florals and mineral. It has good volume in the mouth and is layered. Length is very impressive for its level.

March 30, 2018 - Rare and unique bottling. This was v good and had a Rhone streak to it. If tasting blind would have guesses a Chenin Blanc. Fresh and crisp with good lemon, citrus and some deeper yellow fruits.

March 30, 2018 - A peculiar iteration of white burgundy with lemon curd, lees, and lanolin on the nose. Some commented that this was like Chenin, something I don't know much about. Lean and precise palate. Nice, but was not as impressed with this as the '11 Ramonet Champs-Canet or PYCM Charmes tried last week.
