May 14, 2022 - Balanced, lots of life, supple tannins, nice crusty blackberry tart, cassis. The color is extremely youthful for a 9 year old with a beautiful violet edge to it, and I can only imagine how good this will be in a few more years, although we agreed this certainly seems like it is in its prime right now. With Katie and Tim; delicious with the barbecue ribs. Tim preferred this wine over the 7 year old NV Overture. Cork was perfectly intact, almost as if from a time capsule.

October 11, 2019 - Darker core but not the extraction I was expecting; loads of juicy black fruit, violets, fruit is still so fresh and vibrant without being heavy or muddled, fine tannin on the palate with a juicier lifted finish that I didn’t expect from PV, with air the sweet fruit allowed a little spice and tobacco to come out, plushness of the tannin and much of the fruit reminds me of Syrah but it is more vertical and says Bordeaux varietal; nice wine, something a Cab drinker would enjoy.

September 19, 2019 - Really nice with a big steak. In a good spot with rich dark fruit and integrated tannins.

July 8, 2019 - No decanting needed. Exceptionally smooth, full-bodied with a medium-long finish. Fruity (dried fruits) with a bit of minerals and spices. Not very complex, but it definitely delivers on quality and taste. Pairs well with beef. An excellent dinner companion!

February 11, 2019 - Ruby-purple core. Shy nose of blueberry and field flowers. Clean, medium-bodied, balanced acidity, with a slightly tannic finish. I can see why Petit Verdot is so good for blending, since it adds loads of structure, including tannins and acidity. In terms of flavor profile, however, it seems fairly nondescript.
