November 24, 2023 - I always love clemens busch trockens with some bottle age on them - and this time was no exception. Petrol, dry saline, lemon, some apple, long minerally finish. High intensity and really well balanced between acid and the more secondary notes from the time in the bottle.

    February 14, 2022 - PnP’d with curry dinner
Wonderful aromas highlighting more prominent diesel-petrol notes, citrus zest, floral honey, and a struck-rock mineral tinge.
Palate was magnetically polar opposite with a slight electric current sending the wine across the palate as if negatively charged. The mouthfeel felt hollow and limited with nothing but mineral charges leaving you wanting more.
After and hour or two, the mouthfeel connected to the aromatics echoing similar flavors. The weight of the wine filled-in and became more creamy and less charged in a harmonious and balanced way.

Take Away - Great nose! Palette a little lacking but needs food. Very energetic and charged. If tasted blind I would have said it’s a much younger wine. Can take heat and savory for meals.
Would buy again. Not your average Mosel Ries but that’s not a bad thing.

Made honestly, this wine reflects it’s location (red slate, iron oxide rich), vintage, and cellar.
*Hematite (main composition of red slate) is electronically conductive 🤔

March 23, 2019 - Satellite of Soif (Chicago, IL): A bit lighter than the 2015 estate -- might be a bit of a reflection of the vintage. Strong core of minerality here, with more overall complexity.

February 3, 2019 - Still young, needs another year or two. Lots of acid, but good complex flavours behind that.

Opened up after being open for an hour or so.
