  January 28, 2020 - This wine is in a very good place right now. This was far in away the best of 6 bottles purchased, only sad now that it's my last!

  November 8, 2019 - Last bottle. Best one of all. Cherry licorice aromas carrying in to the wine with a tint of chocolate. Tannins have softened. Heat of earlier bottles have dissipated. Leaning towards the French but still on the heavier side. Fruit lovers delight. Not for the rustic.

  May 7, 2019 - Slight upgrade from my first bottle. Pretty color, nice nose (although somewhat reticent). Very nicely balanced, with vibrant red and black raspberries. Medium body and a decent finish. I was able to get a couple bottles at $20 each. At that price, it's a very good value. At its original MSRP, not so much.

  March 25, 2019 - I do not understand a lot of these ratings. Must not drink a lot of cali zin. This is fantastic. Drink now - 2022
  
  Nose of raspberry, cranberry, stewed red fruit and licorice, slight spice/cinnamon. Taste confirmed red fruit, pepper, sharp, acidic. Fantastic and approachable high ABV dark purple zin. A fantastic showcase of what cali zin is. High alcohol hangs on a little long in the finish, but stylistically can make for some fantastic BBQ or heavy sauce parings.
