May 9, 2020 - Despite being Cedre's entry-level wine, and meant for early consumption, this has gotten better with age. It has intense aromas of plums, with hints of flowers and anise. Medium body, with a very dry, mineral finish. Genuine and satisfying, excellent QPR.

January 10, 2019 - Consistent with my last bottle from 18 months ago. This is a very good daily drinker, excellent QPR, for those who want a medium-full bodied wine that is balanced and goes down easily yet does not have the excesses of oak and alcohol of many Argentine Malbecs. It has plenty of fruit but is rather simple and straightforward, without much aromatic and flavor complexity. Still, this is a very good wine for the price. For that reason I buy it every year.

August 25, 2017 - Rich, jammy/confit fruit nose, some aniseed/fennel in (curious) support. Spice too. Tannic palate, quite rough, with a sour red fruit finish. I've had a few Cahors before, and think they need 10 years to be approachable.

June 24, 2017 - Typical dark Cahors, with bright violet edges; intense nose of fresh dark fruits, with hints of cassis and spice; fairly round, full mouthfeel, but with a persistent acid structure that keeps it fresh for a whole meal; nice, well integrated tannins and a hint of residual sweetness. This is a fairly big wine, but an easy drinker thanks to the nice acid levels, no obvious oak, and tannins in check. This is a very well made wine, but can't rise above the inherent limitations of Malbec, namely a lack of aromatic and flavor complexity; that said, because there is rather little oak, it is better than many wines at this price level.

May 1, 2017 - Not as full as the 2012. Has characterful aromas of plums, blackberries, limestone, some veggies and earth. Its medium bodied linear and austere stoney black fruited palate has good acidity. Ends quite short and disappearing. A good quaffing wine. 12.5%:
