October 23, 2023 - Fading but not so much as to reduce the score from last time. Modest tannin and a fruit core that is mild but still expressive. Notes of violets, hay and minerals.

August 7, 2021 - Did not decant, opened 30 minutes before first pour. Good color, deep red and violet with fruit aromas of strawberries, currents, pear more pronounced. Also cigar, straw, and mushroom on second impression. Held up well over the two hours we consumed the wine. Should go on for a few more years but happy to drink now.

November 27, 2020 - Classic, balanced, perfectly ripe and alive with no signs of decline. cigar box, dark fruits. However this is missing the density, finish, sheer mass of the first growths and "better" chateaus to really shine. Good wine, not bad value to see what perfectly aged Bordeaux is all about, but I would not chase it down as anything near the paragon of the vintage

July 4, 2020 - Deep ruby turning brick. Nose is intensely perfumed, cedar and cigar box, blackcurrant. Medium bodied, with rich fruit, some acidity still there. Not the most concentrated wine, but seductive and beguiling. Very good length and it went the distance. Agree with other recent reviews, this is still drinking very well. Excellent wine.
