  January 28, 2024 - Deep ruby with some purple to it still. Smells like black and dark red fruits, lemon, orange, black tea, woody spice. Medium body, medium (+) acid and finish, with flavors of tart dark red and black fruits, lemon, bit of stewed fruit/prune on it, licorice, spice. Pretty solid and drinking well now.

  December 28, 2021 - Very solid wine. So much different than a nice Brunello di Montalcino we had just finished. A big, floral scent with a rich, expansive taste palate. Not overly long, but enjoyable a glass (or two) at a time. Definitely time to drink. I've held onto this bottle for quite a few years, but while it was lovely, I'm not sure that it lived up to the $40 price tag from back then.
