March 13, 2020 - Covid-19 Intro/Retro (Chez Hughes): Blind. Quite clearly California Rhone with huge amounts of (over)ripe black fruit with serious asphalt and notions of black pepper. Very ripe, cloying and alcoholic on the palate. Called this as Alban. Not my jam. Low 80s if I had to score. Group #4, My #4.

March 28, 2017 - Took a little bit of air for some funk to blow off, but after that, it was fabulous, especially with a rich pasta meal. Very juicy, and certainly with some signature Alban minerality and some bitter (but tasty) green notes I often find in Alban and Paso Robles Grenaches. This is drinking great now, and I don't necessarily see it improving much from now, so drink it up, if you still have some bottles!

February 4, 2015 - Very nice but a little less exuberant than the last bottle I had. Still very enjoyable fruit driven grenache with jammy nose of red and blue fruits which carry through to the palate. Drying out ever so slightly so time to drink up.
