Community Tasting Notes 3

August 8, 2022 - Dark fruit and spice-dominated nose. With time a violet pastille note emerges.
Rich on the palate, more dark fruits and baking spice. Freshness though and nice acidic framing to quite present but fine tannin.
Another excellent wine, this one that is delicious already but really needs more time.
This is to the chambolle as the CSJ was to the estournelles: vineyard (and in this cases village) differences resulting in one wine that is more pretty, elegant, aromatic and another that is more deep, serious, less enjoyable today but showing more potential for the future.
    All great wines.

May 5, 2022 - Nose: baking spice, dark chocolate, dark red fruits, maybe some slight conifer. Really enveloping and intoxicating perfume.

Palate: after about 30 min of breathing it went from acidic to incredibly rich, red and dark fruits, rose water, sappiness, almost deceptively long finish where you think it is about to clip then it keeps going. Over time it just carries incredibly rich red fruit that both slakes the thirst and dries the mouth to be thirsty again.

January 30, 2019 - Bright red mashed strawberry fruit with hints of orangepeel, light whitepeppery minerality. Very light body with elegant red berry fruit with great focus. Some hints of dried figs, rasberries. This wine does not boast or brag, it knows how to charm with its key components. Acidity and body just comes together beautifully, drinks very nice now, but I see a lot of potential for the next 4-8 years
