March 19, 2017 - Dark berries and leather aromas introduce this wine. On the first sip, there is some woodiness with fresh cherries. Secondary flavors are herbal and astringent. Finishes with plum and cocoa.

October 29, 2016 - A blend of 50% merlot and 50% petite verdot, this wine is a fun play on a Bordeaux blend. The color is a very inky black/purple with a bit of an earthiness/leathery hint on the nose. This wine continues to evolve as well- I had it decanted for about 3 hours and watched it change a lot in its smell. The flavor is jam packed with berry fruit, and a bit of spice... almost like bbq spices, but these are more on the back end/subtle. I think Foxen does a great job with this blend and I look forward to seeing what future vintages will be like.

July 15, 2016 - Well-balanced. A nice blend. Full mouthfeel but not overly heavy.
