April 8, 2018 - Still tasty, but fruit is fading. Drink up.

April 1, 2013 - 2005 Chateauneuf du Papes (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Red fruit with a bit of caramel. Medium bodied with grenache-y red fruit. Simple but nice. Everyone thought this had the most grenache of the lineup but it's just 60%. (my 3rd, group's 3rd)

February 17, 2011 - 2005 Chateauneuf du Papes (Tom's House, Palo Alto, CA): Reticent nose, some red fruits, cranberries maybe. Medium bodied, red fruits, baking spice, bit of herb. Nice texture and complexity. (my 3rd, group's 4th)

January 7, 2011 - Great intense nose with wild berries, earth and meat. Palate is showing good structure, typical of a young firm tannin red. Good intensity of flavors of red berries, earthiness and tobacco- kept evolving with nice complexity. Medium plus finish. I'll wait anoter year to open another bottle.

December 6, 2009 - nice fruit, nice acidity, enough tannic structure for a fatty piece of duck. 89-91pts
