September 14, 2018 - Light purple color. Juicy black cherries and red and black currants on the nose, along with violets, leather, black pepper, scorched earth. Full but fresh with smooth tannins but refreshing acidity. Pepper, leather, soy sauce, barbecue sauce, violets and potting soil - complex non-fruit elements on top of juicy cherries and dark plums. Balanced nicely. So good for $15.

August 23, 2017 - Blackberry, tar and bush fire. The palate is quite thick with chunky blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, good intensity on the mid palate but the alcohol is quite prominent so there's a bit of heat on the finish which makes it feel slightly off balance.
