May 8, 2023 - So much beef blood and lively green on the palate! The bomb with steak and mushrooms. Montrose, CO. Half bottle consumed after hiking in Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP.

April 1, 2023 - Dark garnet. Nose of cassis, currant, blackberry, a bit of cedar. Layers of red currant, plum, and an intriguing hint of green on the seasoned palate. Smoothed tannin and lower acidity. Medium length finish of red fruit and deep soil. Half bottle.

May 3, 2020 - Wow, was this singing. Light garnet in the glass. Smooth, well integrated fruit, acidity and fruit all in balance. Terrific, another notch in the arrow of "hold for 15 years +" for Ben's wines.

November 15, 2017 - Probably several years past its prime. Mis-paired with haddock & bacon burgers; this may have only married to a steak in acceptable fashion. Thins out on the back-end with a vegetal streak. Other notes of cedar, mint, white pepper. Drink now.

August 20, 2016 - Consistent with last tasting of this blend (39% Cab Franc, 32% Cab Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot). Palate is a bit too bright for my palate, lacking the backbone and earth tones I look for in a Bordeaux blend.
