July 9, 2016 - Not quite what I'd expected. At 14%, from what I believe was a warm year, I'd imagined something full-bodied and rich.
Instead, this was a very gentle, almost self-effacing wine. It took a while to open up, but when it did, there were delicate peach aromas and flavours, then a classic but smooth GV white pepper finish.
Elegant and fresh, perhaps it could have offered a bit more 'oomph'.
