September 1, 2012 - This wine really came around! Smooth aromas of roasted red fruits, raspberry, blackberry, and hint of menthol. Clear dark garnet in color. Smooth, velvety flavors of cassis, currant and eucalyptus with a long, luscious finish. A perfect wine to celebrate our plethora of eggplant with parmigiana!

December 25, 2010 - This wine could have laid down for several more years, but it was quite good. Good cab flavors, but very tannic for our taste. We wish we had a second bottle to compare a few years from now. Could be a 90 in a few years.

February 12, 2009 - This wine is changing a lot over time. Nose of dust and pencil with light fruit and spice. Flavors are quite tart with sour cherry, raspberry, and blueberry with dust and light spice. Good tannins, long finish but quite tart. This wine might have peaked already, or will need to age a few more years to get over this hump.

February 24, 2008 - Holding up well. Still a hint of jalapeno, but more mellowed and melded flavors now. Good tannins, rich flavors similar to that noted previously. Might not be as "wow" because not decanted and just opened, but a very lovely wine still.

March 31, 2007 - This wine was much better than the first which I am now convinced was flawed. This was drank over 2 days and was more integrated the second day. Nice dark fruit with cassis, vanilla and a smooth finish. Good wine at a good price. Very bordeaux like in its flavor profile.
