November 13, 2021 - Somewhat linear. Hints of past complexity. Waited too long to drink. QPR suspect even at time of purchase

July 29, 2021 - Another great Condrieu from E. Guigal. I thought maybe this might be past its prime when I opened this vintage but it did not disappoint. This is medium to full-bodied with aromas of honeysuckle, citrus and apricot. The flavors are of orange zest, white nectarine and a touch of oak. The finish is medium to long and very savory.

September 25, 2020 - Still drinking quite well- as others have said, lacks a little quality for the price... On the nose, I get vanilla bean, baked pear, red apple, and some floral notes. Seems a bit boozy/spicy in the nose as well as some implied sweetness. In the mouth, the wine if full-ish and coating, warming almost. I preferred this with a little more of a chill on it, as it came to temp it got a little out of focus. Flavors match the nose and it's intensity. Could use a bit more "lift" from some fruit acid, as others have noticed, this seems a bit too oily/flabby. It's decent, very good- but when I'm paying $55/bottle, I expect a bit more- though this isn't Guigal's La Doriane either.

March 27, 2020 - Very nice but a little underwhelming for a condrieu. Not quite showing enough body or minerality to back up the oak. In sort of an uncanny valley for me on the QFP curve. A bit more expensive than a new world viognier but not as much character as a Cuilleron.

January 19, 2020 - Not at all pleasant as an aperitif, but picture perfect with cauliflower soup with chili oil and pancetta.
