November 26, 2021 - Remarkably bold and spicy in 2021.

April 5, 2021 - Pretty Awesome Pinots: Two hour decant in a glass jar. 3.5 - 4 oz pour. WOW! I am amazed that an Oregon Pinot Noir could last this long and still be singing the way it was! This wine was perfectly balanced, for my palate, between fruit and tertiary flavors, i.e., cherry and blackberry with a devious earthiness, coupled with cedar and leather notes, then showing some cocoa notes on a fairly long finish. This wine had me smelling and sipping until I found it gone. Not crazy about the winery(bad experiences visiting), but I have to admit, they make damn good wine! I have one more bottle, and will likely drink it sooner than later, but no hurry. A marvelous wine! 96+ and definitely the best aged American pinot I have had (although I have not had many!).

April 3, 2021 - Pinot noir from Everywhere, except everyone but me brought Oregon (Everyone's House): No decant, but covid transfer in a small jar probably accounted for some air time. Even so, this wine had an explosive nose that is nearly unrivaled in my experience with domestic pinot noir. The palate was less impressive to the nose but still quite agreeable. There was a touch of alcohol after about 45 minutes, but only noticeable by a minority in the group (including me). This wine fits well in the framework of an Oregon pinot, it is impressive that a bottle is holding up this well today from the 2002 vintage. Really well done, kudos Domaine Serene.

October 11, 2015 - Wedding weekend wine tasting! (Willamette Valley): This wine is pretty tough to describe but the right words are prob fabulous, special, stunning. Very bright red fruits even 13 years later but then so many other things. There's smoke and spice and umame maybe even. But delicious and wonderful. My second WOTD. Here again, the CT drinking window (which says by 2012) is just wrong - this wine is in a wonderful spot right now.

December 29, 2013 - It made all the other domestic pinot's taste really poor.
