December 31, 2023 - started as an average WS pinot but after 1 hour of decant, developed multi fruit/roses nose and light, clear, elegant with secondary tastes, sorry not a pro

October 8, 2023 - Still a bit youngish but, good. Lighter, floral, dark cherries, both plums, blackberries, black raspberries, strawberries, purple fruit potpourri, pomegranate, mid, dark Asian spices, nutmeg, cinnamon stick, vanilla, steeped tea, semi-dry tobacco, some grilled meats - porkish, mid palate almost speaks to Chateauneuf-de-Pape, limestone & gray, mix of moist clay w/ grey, volcanic minerals, hints of pepper, sandalwood to barrel shavings, mixed berry licorice/cola, rainbow, mid to dark, red, floral bouquet, excellent, rain shower acidity, well knitted evolution, integration, well structured & tensioned, balanced fruit & earth with nice polish and an even, long finish that lasts minutes.

August 4, 2023 - Definitely more developed than the two year younger Ceritas we had last night. The leather, forest floor and mushrooms are already popping up on this. Still lean, lighter than a lot of Cali pinots and better length on the finish than I expected.

October 15, 2022 - Faded glory. 6 months on from the penultimate bottle, this is my final bottle from the vintage and it's showing its age. Drink NOW. Yes, all the ingredients are there, but the sweet cherry and sandalwood are now flat and slightly sour; the palate has lost its vibrancy, and there's that slightly fizzy sensation on the finish. Well passed its prime and the window is closing fast.

April 17, 2022 - Okay, so this is a pretty straight forward bottling with mostly primary flavors and a tad too much heat after years in the cellar. But I marvel at the consistency of this entry level cuvee year after year. Still distinctive (especially compared to other mid-priced pinots these days), and still the best value in the W-S lineup. Well done, Bob. Enjoyed by all at Easter Brunch.
