  December 6, 2018 - A very balanced tasty burger night stand in for Cabernet. PnP and slow ox an hour plus prior to dinner. Served around cellar temp and eventually reaching low 60s tops. Darker ruby color. Pick up a hint of oak but not overbearing and my understanding this sees light aging time in larger Slovenian cask. This is fresher, more energetic and less weighty then cabernet but plenty of dark fruit, spice, dark chocolate. More minerally then cabernet. Think of it as cabernet like with amped up acid from an indigenous Italian grape and a modest 13% alc that is quite welcome. Paid $18 and worth that but cheaper wouldn't hurt either.

  January 29, 2017 - Had last week , really good pairing with pasta with turkey meat sauce. Balanced wine , goood value but nothing crazy hat stood out.
