  December 25, 2020 - I always try and let any Petite Sirahs I buy sit for at least 5 years. In this case, it was well worth the wait. It had an almost explosive blackberry nose, with elements of dark chocolate, iodine, tea, and a little sweet oak. Relatively full-bodied, the black fruit flavors, along with some leather and herb notes, pair well with the smooth acidity that lasts through the medium length finish. As an interesting aside, even though it is 15% ABV, there was never a “hot” feel to it.

  September 16, 2017 - Nice nose filled with black plums and a hint of blackberries, deep purple color, somewhat awkwardly constructed in the mouth, but very serviceable. Not really much point on holding on to this for too long, as it isn't going to improve and may begin tumbling downhill.
