Community Tasting Notes 2

October 11, 2020 - Some bottle age has served this wine well - it has softened out nicely and is drinking very well. Cassis dominant with a lovely lifted spice component from the French oak, very nice finish too. It was produced to be a 'drink now' wine, but still has a good 5+ years left in the tank (for well stored bottles) if you are looking for something further mature. For my tastes, in a good drinking window now.

October 13, 2017 - Youthful colour; the nose opened gradually. Excellent fruit with soft blueberry and blackcurrant. Plenty if tannin but this softened in the glass. Long with good balance. The wine was described as 'for early drinking' but it would be interesting to see how it develops in bottle. I think it has more to show.
Tasted at Grand Union Wine Society with Scott Edge of Negociants UK.
